Get a £90 PS4 bundle with some great 4K TVs at AO

If you’ve been looking for a new 4K TV, then it’s definitely worth visiting the AO website before midnight tonight. If you buy a selected TV from them by then, you can add a PS4 & FIFA bundle for just £90 – something that normally sells for £249.99. Just add both and add the code PS4FIFA150 at checkout. You can see the full range of qualifying TVs on offer here , but it’s a dizzying array of brands, sizes and confusing product codes. With TVs not being my speciality, I asked Expert Reviews’ TV editor Tom Bruce what his picks of the available options are, and he’s highlighted three that we’ve reviewed and can recommend. Strap in. First up is the Sony XF90, which we gave four stars when we reviewed it back in 2018 at £1,699. That was for the 55in model, but both that and the 65in versions are included in AO’s offer, and will set you back £899 and £1,070 respectively . “With a brighter, more impactful HDR performance, incoming Dolby Vision support, and superbly smooth motion thanks to the X-Motion Clarity technology, the XF90 is a force to be reckoned with,” Vincent concluded in our review. Next up is the 55in HiSense U8B, which is available for £699 – £50 cheaper than when we reviewed it. It’s a solid bet though: “For all its flaws, the Hisense U8B is a decent if unremarkable mid-range TV,” wrote Vincent. “The 120Hz panel is a bit of a coup at the price – not least because it permits smooth 24p playback – and buyers more interested in 4K big-screen thrills than out-and-out accuracy may not be unduly bothered by the colour accuracy issues.” Finally, there’s the £549 LG UM7400 , which Vincent also gave four stars to in his review. “Some impressive technologies distinguish the LG 49UM7400 from quite a few competing budget sets, in particular the dynamic tone-mapping, super-low input lag and smooth 24fps reproduction despite the 60Hz panel,” wrote Vincent. “It’s all impressive stuff at the price. In ultimate terms, though, it’s let down somewhat by its poor-contrast IPS LCD panel – and that means it’ll have a tough time competing against the increasingly talented budget opposition.” Finally, while we haven’t reviewed it, if you have the budget, then the Samsung UE82RU8000 might be worth a look – not least of all because AO has reduced the price by £600, making it £2,199 . Only large living rooms need apply though, given it’s a whopping 82in. Whichever you get, a £90 PS4 with FIFA is certainly a good deal.
